He’s Alive, but Are You?

The world in which we live has become complexed, and troubled, mixed with much unrest. Social injustice, and prejudice just to name a few.

To most, Leadership has become a joke.

The opinions of most, are more meaningful than God’s truth. Men do their own thing, go their own way; however, somehow we still assume the endorsement of the All-Mi...

Holy / Black Saturday - Jesus Rested in that Tomb

As I think about Holy Saturday, my mind keeps pondering Jesus’ body lying in that tomb. He had been deceived, rejected, ridiculed, beaten, humiliated, and hung on a cross to die. Here it was the Sabbath, and Jesus had been laid in the tomb. He is our rest, and what He had just faced was for us. Everything that we face in life, He has already conquered. We know from Ephesians 4:8-10 that Jesus also descended into lower earth...

We have read all week about the story that led up to the crucifixion of Jesus. I want to take a different approach of the crucifixion that will bring you joy.

Why is “Good Friday”?

Jesus died for our sins. God sacrificed His one and only Son just for you. Jesus was willing to give his life just for you. So that we can spend eternity with Him in heaven!

THIS is a Good Friday! THIS...

A few weeks ago, HOLY GHOST brought to my attention the scripture in Matthew 26:6-13.

“Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, there came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat. But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, to what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much ...

Do you ever feel like lately people just want to argue? The political climate of our society is so charged right now that it seems like some people are literally wanting to charge at you if you disagree with them. No longer is our society able to respectfully disagree while remaining cordial. Spend any length of time on social media and you will quickly realize if people disagree with you, name calling will likely ensue. De...

Holy Monday - The Cleansing of the Temple

Today, we celebrate Holy Monday and briefly discuss Jesus cleansing the temple found in the Gospels. Yesterday was Palm Sunday and Jesus is riding a donkey, humble, while people yell “Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord...” But today as He enters the temple in Jerusalem, we read about Jesus flipping tables over, rebuking people and quoting scriptures. It sounds completely out of character for this...

Ah, the newness of spring. I have such fond memories as a teenager coming home to the fresh smell of Pine-Sol flowing with the windows open and the breeze blowing the curtains. Mom would have her gospel music playing as loud as you could tolerate it, singing along while mopping the floor. What a sight! With these smells, sights and sounds my senses were fully engaged in the happiness I felt.

We all have our memories of Easter. What ...
