THE DAY AFTER
The day after the Crucifixion, for the eleven disciples it seemed all hope was lost. They feared for their lives and found themselves in hiding. They were overwhelmed with guilt and disbelief because the One they called Messiah was dead.
Jesus had told them many times He would die and rise again. The moment Jesus said the word “die”, they refused to hear. Peter even rebuked Jesus. So, what caused the eleven disciples to go from this mindset of fearing for their lives to later becoming so bold and courageous as to turn the world upside down?
No Tear is ever wasted!
Genesis 50:20
“…but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much ….”
1 Peter 1:3
“…In His great mercy He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
Proverbs 28:1
“… the righteous are as bold as a lion.”
Acts 1:8
“But you shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in Judea, and in Samaria and unto the uttermost parts of the earth.
